4Court or Playtomic? Different jobs — and why many clubs end up with both
We get this question in almost every visit: “I already have Playtomic — what do I need this for?” The honest answer starts by acknowledging something: Playtomic does its job well. Its app brings new demand — people who didn’t know your club and show up on a Tuesday through an open match. That has value and we won’t argue with it.
The thing is, that isn’t 4Court’s job.
Two different jobs
A marketplace’s job is to bring you a stranger of roughly the right level to fill a spot. The relationship with that player — their account, their history, their next booking — stays with the platform.
4Court’s job is to make the members you already have perform: spot the match going short, pick from your people whoever truly fits — by level, court side and who they’ve played well with — and write to them from your club’s WhatsApp number. The player installs nothing, creates no account, and the relationship is yours.
The difference you feel on court
An open match is completed by whoever arrives first. 4Court completes it with whoever fits, and shows you the why behind every name: “plays Tuesdays at this hour”, “with Gil: 4 matches, 3 rated well”, “slightly lower level, workable as a pair”.
This isn’t cosmetic. An even game is why a member rebooks next week; a lopsided one is why they vanish for a month.
