Why AI4Padel: how it compares to other platforms
Your management software records what happens at the club. Your marketplace brings you new players. But when a match is stuck at three, or a long-time player has gone a month without playing, the one who picks up the phone and writes one by one is you.
That gap is AI4Padel’s job: it puts the match waiting to be completed in front of you, picks which of your players fit and tells you why, and leaves the message written in your tone. You send it with one click from the club’s WhatsApp, note down what they answer, and the “yes” seats the player. With your number, no commissions, and without changing anything you already use. More than anything, it competes with the afternoons you spend writing. Below, we go tool by tool.
The real competitor: the manager writing one by one.

AI4Padel versus doing it by hand
Let’s be honest: most courts in Spain get filled this way today, by hand. Your WhatsApp group, your memory and your half hour between lessons. And it works, until the club grows: at 200 players you no longer remember who plays on Tuesdays, “you in or not?” times four players and fifteen matches eats the whole afternoon, and the player cooling off never warns you: they just stop coming.
Put numbers on it. A court booking averages around €24 in Spain, per Playtomic’s own annual report:
- Every match that collapses at three is that money out of the till.
- Two matches saved per week are around €206 a month. That alone pays the subscription.
- A player who plays every week leaves around €300 a year: if they cool off and nobody writes, that figure leaves with them.
AI4Padel does in seconds the part that costs you the afternoon: it shows you the gap on the calendar, proposes players who fit with the reason written next to each name (level compatible with the match, plays this time slot, how long since their last match) and leaves the message ready. You press «Enviar invitación» (send invitation), the club’s WhatsApp opens with the text already written, and you send it. When they answer, you note down “Yes” or “Can’t make it”. You still decide everything; you just stop typing everything.
A match still two short: on the right, the players who fit, each with their reason.
When should you stay by hand? If you run 2 courts and 40 players and your afternoons are free, you honestly do not need us. Keep this page for when you grow.
AI4Padel and Playtomic
We are not here to replace it. Playtomic does something we do not, and it has merit: bringing in people who did not know your club. If it works for you, keep it.
The difference is who pays to talk to your own community. Per Playtomic’s help centre, your player pays 4% per card booking and up to 20% to join an open match: on a €6 court share, joining costs around 16.5% extra. That same spot through your WhatsApp is free: no fee for them, no commission for you.
In one sentence: Playtomic is better at attracting strangers, AI4Padel is better at making the players you already have perform, and together is exactly how our clubs run them. The full fee table, with its source and date, sits at the end of this article, under “The sources”. And the full head-to-head, case by case, in AI4Padel vs Playtomic.
AI4Padel and Matchpoint
Matchpoint records your club: calendar, till, academy, and it does that well. What it does not do is act. At nine in the morning it knows the 7:30pm match is one short, it knows all afternoon, and at 7:30pm it is still one short, because recording is not calling anyone.
AI4Padel starts from the other side: it reads the calendar, tells you which players fit that gap and why, and leaves the invitation written. You send it from the club’s WhatsApp, and the «yes» you note down seats the fourth. It is a newer piece of software, and the criterion it picks with is the work you used to do from memory.
AI4Padel versus a generic AI bot
Bots that answer WhatsApp are everywhere, and building one is easy. AI4Padel is not one of them, and the difference is threefold. First: AI4Padel knows padel. It knows a foursome is balanced by level and position, that the friend a player brings takes a seat, that full is not closed (you close it when you want to ask for confirmation), and it warns you if someone already plays that day at another time.
Second: AI4Padel’s AI talks to you, not to your players. You ask it “who fits for Tuesday?” and it answers with your club’s data, every name with its written reason. This is how AI4Padel chooses, and why you can show it to any player.
Third, and most important: You decide what gets sent. A loose bot improvising with your players is a risk to your brand. AI4Padel writes to nobody: every message comes from your templates and you send it yourself, from the club’s WhatsApp.
What only AI4Padel does
- Puts the gap in front of you before it becomes a cancellation and proposes who to write to, with the reason next to each name.
- Works through the channel your players already watch: their WhatsApp. No new apps or accounts, not even for the 68-year-old player.
- You decide what gets sent. Always. It is a technical rule of the product, not a marketing promise.
- Leaves every everyday message written: invitation, confirmation, reminder, “someone dropped out”, time change. You pick the one that fits and send it in one click.
- No commissions: your money and your players’ money is shared with nobody. The full numbers are in the flat price.
The day’s grid: the complete matches, the ones marked «Falta 1» (one short) and the free hours where you can open a match.
The screenshot is from our demo club. The complete matches need nobody, the “one short” ones are money at stake, and above them sits the week with how much of each day is still free.
What we do not do
- We do not bring you strangers. We are not a marketplace: we fill your courts with your community. For attracting outside players, a marketplace does that job well.
- We do not run the till or the academy yet. That comes with the Completo plan, which today you reserve. You do not need it to start: Esencial builds the matches from day one.
- We send nothing on your behalf. You send every message yourself from the club’s WhatsApp, in the demo too. If that makes it less spectacular, so be it.
- We do not read or answer your players. What they write lands in your WhatsApp and you read it; in AI4Padel you note down the answer with one tap.
- We do not hold your data hostage. If you leave, we hand over your data and your club carries on: the WhatsApp number was yours from day one.
We spell it out so you can compare with everything on the table.
Quick questions
Do I have to leave Playtomic or Matchpoint to use AI4Padel? Playtomic no: each does its own thing, and it keeps bringing you players from outside. Matchpoint yes, because AI4Padel runs the club’s calendar. Your players come in from your spreadsheet on day one.
What does my player get? No fees on the spots you offer them through WhatsApp, nothing to install, and it is their club writing.
Can the AI write something weird to my players? No: the AI does not talk to your players. The texts come from your templates and you send every message yourself.
What does it cost, and what if it does not work? Flat price from €49/month, no commissions, no setup fee, no lock-in. And there is a free 7-day trial: you try it on your own courts before paying anything.
